Declaration of Arafat

With the spiritual and aromatic fragrance from Arafat;

From the redolence of the pure Divine atmosphere of the march of the pilgrims from every where;

From the inspiration of the dignified scene, which comes in response to the call of our Father Abraham peace be upon him;

And with the warmth of the acclamation and compliance of millions of Muslims who do  are following the example of the last of the Prophets, our Master and Prophet Mohammad peace be upon him, his relatives and his companions.

In front of this venerable spiritual view, memories are renewing and the dignified Divine aims of the pilgrimage are coming to the mind.. i.e. the aims which the Messenger of mercy and humanity our Prophet Mohammad peace be upon him summarized when he stood on a rock at the peak of the Mountain of Mercy in Arafat during his last pilgrimage with thousands of Muslims looking forward to hear from Him.

After thanking and praising the Almighty, he began his address by reciting the fol-l-o-wing verse of the Holy Qur'an:

"Today, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion." 3/5

Then he continued his speech addressing mankind at large saying:

1.          Oh people! Your Lord is one.. (reaffirming the oneness of the source of faith.)

2.     Oh people! Your father is one.. (reaffirming  the principle of human brotherhood.)

3.     Oh people! Your blood and properties are sacred .. (emphasizing the sanctity of human life and his belongings.)

4.     Oh people! Truly Allah has ordained that there is no usury.. (establishing a secure world economic system.)

5.     Oh people ! Verily you have rights over your wives and they have rights over you, so I command you to deal gently with women .. (assuring the equitable relationship and partnership between man and woman in fields of life.)

6.     Oh people ! The number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve out of which four   are sanctified.. (rooting the culture of peace and the safety of the environment.)

7.     Oh people ! Indeed Allah has made injustice forbidden upon Himself and He has made it forbidden among you, so do not commit injustice against each other.. (reaffirming that justice is the source of all virtues and it is the guaranteed safeguard for the security of the societies and countries.)

Through these seven pillars as well as these comprehensive, human and divine launching points the last of the Prophets and the Messengers, our Master Mohammad peace be upon him defined and crystallized the features and components of the charter of the Lord of humankind for the human life. That charter whose glad tidings were given to those Prophets ,peace be on them who came before him over the various stages of history.

Today, while the Muslims are jubilating over the blessed Eid AL-adha, and while our Christian brothers are rejoicing for the memory of the birth day of  our Lord Jesus peace be upon him, his mother the Virgin Mary and his sincere disciples in a pleasant coincidence  ; we are presenting our Christian brothers and the entire humanity with this divine charter with its seven pillars to serve as common methodology and an orthodox path  for a serious joint action and a constructive competition for a world ruled by justice and peace, and enjoying love and mercy and making its generations happy with safe coexistence among communities.
