In the name of the participants of the second Christian Muslim Dialogue Consultation between the International Islamic Forum For Dialogue representing over one hundred International Islamic organization members of the " International Islamic Council for Dawa and Relife " presided by Prof.Dr. Hamid Bin Ahmad Al-Rifaie and located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Middle East Council of Churches which included the four church Families, namely the Oriental Orthodox, Orthodox, Catholic and Evangelical, and the General Secretary Mr. Guirguis Ibrahim Saleh, held in Cairo, Egypt, under the presidency of the Great Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sayed Tantawi, Sheikh Al Azhar and His Holiness Pope Shenouda III, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarchate of the Sea of St. Mark, with the participation of the Heads of Christian Churches and a great number of Christian and Muslim religious and political leaders and intellectuals.
We call on the United Nations, represented by Secretary General Mr. Kofi Anan, on all Iinternational Organization concerned and on the International Community, including religious, political and cultural institutions,
To Work together to issue an International Law for the Respect of Religious diversity and specificities of peoples, prohibiting the violations against and destruction of religious institutions and symbols, have no relation with the freedom of opinion and expression, thus securing and protecting the spirit of conviviality and co-existence between communities, and eliminating the cells of tension, violence and terrorism in the world.
