Summary on

Islam  ..  and  Dialogue

Firstly,

The legal rooting:

Since that the main aims of dialogue are three duties:

·       Duty of mutual acquaintance among people,

·       Duty of building Earth and

·       Duty of competing in good deeds.

And compliance with the juristic rule: A thing that is necessary for achieving duty itself becomes duty.

Hence,

DIALOGUE IS:

·       RELIGIOUS DUTY,

·       CIVILIZATIONAL DEMAND,

·       AND SECURE NECESSATY

Secondly,

The dogmatic constants:

·   Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam.

·   And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never accepted of him.

·   To you be your religion and to me my religion.

·   But be ware of them lest turn you far away from some of that which Allah has sent down to you.

·  And incline not toward those who do injustice, lest the fire should touch you.

Thirdly,

Behaviors of dialogue:

·       Obligation of the best saying.

·       Not cursing or defamation faith of others.

·       Not to be haughty in style and method.

·       Not using compulsion.

·       Exerting kindness and justice to others. 

 

Fourthly,

Ends of the Dialogue:

A.  Activating of the worldly common with other.

·       Building Earth,

·       Establishing Justice,

·       Human mutual acquaintance,

·       Civilizational inter-action,

·       Interchanging in services,

·       Competition in good deeds,

·       Inter –exchanging in benefits, and

·        The safe coexistence.

B.  Activating Islamic values among Muslims.

·       Sincerity,

·       Justice,

·       Inter – fraternizing,

·       Inter – loving,

·       Inter – advising,

·       Inter – consultation,

·       Understanding,

·       Cooperation,

·       Inter - Sponsoring,

·       Solidarity,

·       Inter – supporting,

·       Inter – pitying,

·       Inter- preferring, and

·       Inter – excusing.

 

Fifthly,

Characteristics of the Muslim dialogist: 

·       Respecting freedom of option,

·       Respecting principle of difference,

·       Respecting cultural diversity,

·       Respecting religious diversity,

·       Knowledge, understanding and expertise.

·       Perfecting styles of argument,

·       Perfecting skill of the presentation and explanation,

·       Equivalence with other’s culture and abilities,

·       Perfecting language of dialogue,

·       Keeping away of haughtiness.

·       Keeping away of tendency of victory,

·       Taking away tendency of compulsion,

·       Assuring that the truth is a common end,

·       Patient and persistent,

·       Commitment of the best of saying,

·       Doing honor to dialogist and respecting his specialties,

·       Exerting cordiality and good dealing,

·       Polite with the older and modest with the younger,

·       Good in appearance, clothing and fragrance,

·       Choosing Please, time and circumstance.

 

Moreover,      

v   We have to emphasize that humankind are partners in three ends:

·       Worshiping Allah ( God ),

·       Building Earth, and

·       Bringing benefits.

v   On the other hand, we have to assure that worship of Allah is two kinds:

1.   Spiritual worship,

2.   Constructional worship.

v   On the base of the above – mentioned, we reminding humankind saying:

Indeed if we have separated regarding the spiritual worship and its launching points; we are called by our Lord Almighty to activate our general values and various laws for competing in good deeds. In order to realizing a good building of Earth and establishing justice for keeping up the human march in favor of human dignity, safety of environment and safe human coexistence.

v          ALLAH says: “ To each among you, we have prescribed a law and a clear way. If Allah had willed, he would have made you one nation, but that ( He ) may test you in what he has given you; so compete in good deeds ’’.
